Who is Eoin McGee?

Eoin McGee is a renowned Certified Financial Planner (CFP©) and Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) with a career spanning over 25 years. Eoin is the founder of Prosperous Financial, a financial planning firm established in 2008. Eoin’s vision for Prosperous was to provide a client-centric approach, aiming to build long-lasting relationships by consistently doing right by his clients.

Eoin’s journey into the financial services industry began after college, driven by a personal understanding of the impact proper financial planning can have on family life. Throughout his career, Eoin has accumulated valuable experience, holding various roles in prominent companies. In fact, he was one of the first people in the country to attain the designation of Qualified Financial Advisor.

Beyond the walls of Prosperous Financial, Eoin has left an indelible mark on the media landscape. Hosting TV shows like ‘How to be Good with Money‘ and ‘The Complaints Bureau’ alongside participating in ‘This Crowded House’ on RTÉ, he extends practical financial advice to households, making a tangible impact on managing finances effectively.

Eoin returns to our TV screens in 2024 with the new show, The Complaints Bureau, on RTÉ One.

The Complaints Bureau is a new consumer series on RTÉ One. Finance expert Eoin McGee sets the caseload for three consumer journalists advocating and arguing on behalf of members of the public who have hit brick walls.

Eoin has recently taken up golf and as a keen runner, he hopes to participate in the Boston Marathon in 2025.
